Bitter Love Story

Time - A Bitter Love Story

After a long time, I was able to see her again. She smiled at me when I saw her at the street corner. I wasn't expecting that. It was nerve-wracking just as before. I smiled back at her even if I don't know what to say. Nothing much has changed except the fact that she's more beautiful now. Her eyes, her smile, those shiny hair. Suddenly, I remember all things that happened in the past. From the first day we met until the last day we settled. How can I forget those sweet memories we had shared. Even the bitterness that I felt when she said goodbye. It feels like it only happened yesterday.

Actually I was late for my work but I opted to stay and grabbed the opportunity to talk with her. It was just like a casual greetings between two friends who were able to see each other after a long time. That was she felt at that time. But for me, it was different. She's still special. A person that will always be in my heart. Im still longing for her and hoping that she would come back. But I never showed it to her. I pretended that I've moved on. Our conversation was stopped when I guy grabbed her shoulder. She looked at him. The guy smiled at her when she held his hand.
They kissed. I knew it. No need to explain. But to make things formal, she introduced the guy to me.

As a real man, I still have my inflated feeling of pride, my ego. So I smiled back at him sarcastically. I was able to talk to him decently even if I knew that Im just fooling around. Talking to him was a mess. But because I thought that she's happy with him, I need to accept it. whether I like it or not she's not in my arms anymore.

They left after a couple of minutes. I didn't take away my eyes at them while they were walking. Eventually, she looked back at me differently. Those eyes, I knew what she wanted to say. I thought that she was happy with him not until she looked at me that way. That look told me that I was really weak to admit that I still love her. And why did I pretend to feel no remorse when I saw her with another guy. Damn!
